A Pinkvilla source says, 'Anand L. Rai needed a superstar in this film, which is very influential and important to the film's narrator. He had previously offered this film to Hrithik Roshan, although he could not do this film. Akshay then accepted Anand L. Rai's offer due to his respect for the filmmaker. Akshay Kumar will be shooting for this film for about two weeks. He leaves for Bell Bottom in London next month. After coming back after shooting the film, Akshay will start shooting for Anand L Rai's film and Prithviraj.
It is known from the source that Akshay Kumar has been paid a considerable amount for the 14-day role. Akshay Kumar's Lucky Number is 9 and he always charges his films the amount, which adds up to 9. However, he would have charged around Rs 1 crore per day for the shooting of Rai's Atrangi Ray. But later he almost doubled this amount. He has received Rs 27 crore for the film. However, the director of the film is yet to confirm the news. Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush will also be seen in important roles in Akshay's film.
Apart from this film, Akshay Kumar is awaiting the release of the film 'Suryavanshi', produced this year under the direction of Rohit Shetty.
